Uses
Nickel carbonate paste reacts faster than the powder and is used as a pH adjuster for nickel solutions. Nickel hydroxycarbonate paste is used for applications such as plating and as a catalyst.
Classification
Nickel carbonate paste can have cancerous effects, although there is still insufficient evidence to prove this. It is harmful if inhaled and swallowed; it may cause sensitisation by skin contact; it is very toxic to acquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects in the acquatic environment.
