Molybdenum disulphide has an appearance very similar to graphite.
Solubility
Molybdenum sulfide is not soluble in water, but it is soluble in turpentine and is only soluble in hot hydrochloric acid, sulfuric and nitric acids .
Uses
Molybdenum disulphide is naturally found in the form of molibdnite mineral and has an appearance very similar to graphite. In its pure state, this product is used as a lubricant. Pure molybdenum disulphide is used as additive for lubricants.
