Distributor of ammonium metavanadate
Ammonium metavanadate, NH4VO3, is a water-soluble inorganic acid that acts as an insulin mimic. Ammonium metavanadate belongs to the family of vanadates that contain many different oxidative states which are dependent on pH. Ammonium metavanadate is the most common laboratory vanadate reagent, along with potassium metavanadate, KVO3. Crystalline ammonium metavanadate contains infinitely long chains of corner-sharing VO4 tetrahedra.
Ammonium metavanadate occurs in white crystal or white or very pale yellow crystalline powder.
Ammonium metavanadate is slightly soluble in cold water but more soluble in hot water. Ammonium metavandate is not soluble in a saturated solution of NH4CL, in ethanol and in ether.
Ammonium vanadate is used for preparation of catalysts for organic and inorganic synthesis; for the production of colours and paints as drying agents for paintings and inks.
Ammonium metavanadate is extremely toxic; harmful if inhaled and swallowed and may cause strong irritation to eyes and respiratory system.
Request safety data sheet (SDS) and refer to points 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15.
Technical specifications are provided on request according to the application: ammonium metavanadate is stored in original packing and under conditions mentioned on the safety data sheet (SDS).
